An LGBT Love Wedding In London

Tom + Alex's wedding at Trinity Buoy Wharf is one of my favourite collections from last year, so it's a wonder that it's only now gracing the pages of this journal. A day of laughter, tears, two ceremonies, lots of champagne and some very glamorous outfits. At Claudia Rose Carter I fully give my heart to LGBT, Black + POC communities and I endeavour to promote more diversity in the work that I showcase. This is a safe space. Here is their story:

The Wedding Morning

The morning began at the Nobu Hotel in Shoreditch where the three of us finished off a bottle of champagne to kick off the celebrations. Tom + Alex chose to get ready together, which is always such an intimate and special occasion! Alex's kilt was custom made by MacGregor + MacDuff and Alex chose a suit from The Kooples. Both wore shoes designed and made by their friend Nia Jones.

The First Ceremony

Alex's nerves in the taxi to Trinity Buoy Wharf were palpable. They had chosen to do two ceremonies on their day. The first, in the morning, would be the 'legal' ceremony with the registrars conducting and just close family present. London's transport can sometimes be a little chaotic and the boys wanted to ensure everyone was there on time.They needed not worry. It went without a hitch.

The Meal In-Between

As they had a couple of hours between the end of the first ceremony, and the beginning of the next, the boys had hired a large table in nearby cafe/deli with, you guessed it, some more bubbles to enjoy! This was such a wonderful opportunity to spend time with their closest family.

The Second Ceremony

The second ceremony, conducted by their close friend, was incredibly emotive. They chose to open the doors that are such a beautiful feature of the Chain Store at Trinity Buoy Wharf, so the view of the O2 was easily seen situated proudly across the river. Their wedding party walked in before them, followed by Tom + Alex together. I love ceremonies that are made so personal to the couple, with readings to compliment.

Let's Get On With The Wedding Day!

The rest of the day was as perfect as it had begun. Trinity Buoy Wharf along with Botanique Florists and Tasting Plates Caterers turned the space around for their wedding breakfast and it looked gorgeous, with a strong foliage theme.Tom sang a song to Alex during his speech, more tears were had, and they danced hard on the dance floor.
