Maternity Photography in Derby & Surrounds
Are you looking for maternity photography in or Derby, Derbyshire or surrounding counties? I live in Willington where I am currently building a home studio, but travel all across the UK, so I can offer a variety of options and locations.
You’re still in amazement at all of the little wiggles and kicks coming from your belly, enjoying asking for endless cups of tea from your partner, feeling slightly terrified at the list of items you’re supposed to take to hospital with you but more than anything you really miss sushi, blue cheese, or a cold glass of rosé.
Pregnancy is incredible and frustrating in so many ways, whether it’s your first babe or your fourth. I remember that heavy, achey feeling as I entered into the third trimester and ugh - the headaches - but try to take solace in the fact that our bodies have been creating life for literally hundreds of thousands of years.
Join with me and let’s spend an hour or two drinking those cups of tea, nattering about the early weeks and taking some relaxed, natural photographs of you and bump (and maybe your other half and any additional loved ones, too).

“We were recommended Claudia's photography for our maternity shoot through our wedding photographer.
The maternity shoot was so relaxed. Claudia came to our home and had a chat with us to start with, which felt like catching up with an old friend. Claudia has a really calm demeanour and put us at ease. We had photos done in our home, which were a relaxed, not so posed kind of vibe. We then drove to a beach and had some very quick photos, due to the cold and the rain that had started. Any more 'posed' sort of photos were taken within seconds, so we weren't having to hold any awkward stances, not that there were any really.
We were so impressed with the maternity photos and rebooked once our son was born. He wasn't a tiny newborn when we managed to find a suitable date but we both agreed that him being slightly bigger (he was around 2 months old) was better as he had more personality and was smiling. However, he decided that day to be particularly grumpy but you wouldn't tell from the gorgeous photos.
We didn't want the popular baby in a basket kind of shots, which I do feel plenty of people are steering away from and going for more natural kind of photos. Claudia captured exactly what we wanted and we couldn't recommend their services more.

What’s included?
As standard, this session lasts between 30 minutes to 2 hours of coverage time depending on you and the type of package you choose! You’ll receive up to around 50 beautifully edited digital downloads via a personalised online gallery, plus discounted rates on any future shoots such as a newborn session or family milestones.
HOW MUCH IS IT?
Packages start at £75 for a digital download-only package (the most popular), with three different packages and also a bundle option! Contact me for my full pricing guide!
HOME OR STUDIO?
This is entirely up to you - I can send you some examples of both!
The studio is very white and clean in aesthetic, with everything you need such as backdrop selections and incredible coffee!
At home or on location sessions are usually a little more lifestyle (documentary), but means you can include your fur babies if you have them!
WHAT SHOULD YOU WEAR?
I would always recommend lighter or neutral colours (whites, greys, beiges, blacks) with no obvious patterns, and it can work really beautifully to have some photographs in underwear or a robe to capture that bump!
However, the most important thing is that you feel like yourself and comfortable!

will there be retouching of the images?
I do offer basic retouching of images - only where I think it won’t take away from the natural beauty pictured - to include skin smoothing and blemish removals.

3. THE SESSION
I'll show up super excited and ready to capture this gorgeous journey! Having looked over the personalised detailed guides on how best to prepare, you’ll feel completely at ease and ready to create some incredible memories!
4. ART REVEAL
You’ll have received a couple of previews via WhatsApp within a couple days, but this full reveal will come around 2 weeks after your session.
