Baby Freddie - A Newborn Session
Baby Freddie’s Newborn Session – Embracing the Cuddles
Some babies love to stretch out, while others just want to be snuggled up close—and at 14 days old, Baby Freddie was firmly in the cuddle phase! He arrived at the studio with his lovely parents, Jen and Tom, and it was clear right away that his happiest place was in their arms.
A Baby-Led Approach to Newborn Photography
Every newborn session is different, and that’s exactly why I take a baby-led approach. While we did manage to capture some beautiful individual portraits of Freddie, he mostly wanted to be close to mum and dad. So, instead of trying to coax him into poses he wasn’t happy with, we leaned into those natural, loving moments—soft snuggles, tiny fingers wrapped around theirs, and the way he melted into them whenever they held him.
A Warm & Relaxed Studio Setting
My studio is designed to be a calm, cozy space, perfect for new parents and their little ones. With gentle heaters to keep babies warm, a baby shusher for soothing background noise, and a variety of newborn wraps and outfits available, everything is set up to make the session as relaxed as possible. But sometimes, no prop or wrap is needed—just a baby in their parents’ arms, feeling safe and loved.
Capturing Those Early Connections
The images from Freddie’s session are a true reflection of these early days—simple, natural, and full of love. There’s something so special about capturing parents just soaking in their new baby, completely in the moment. These are the photos that will bring back memories of those tiny cuddles and newborn softness for years to come.
If you’d love a newborn session that focuses on the connection between you and your little one, my studio is the perfect place. Whether your baby loves to be wrapped up or simply wants to be held, we’ll go with the flow and create images that truly reflect your family’s story. Let’s chat about capturing these once-in-a-lifetime moments!
